Since the widespread use of plastic began in the 1950's, plastic pollution has accelerated and continues to plague our planet. More than 8.3 billion tons of plastic now exists. Plastic is found almost everywhere on our planet. The Break Free From Plastic Pollution Act was introduced in the House and Senate with a plan to curb plastic pollution and hold all stakeholders accountable.
